Beach Kidz Guidelines

Beach Kidz Guidelines for all caregivers...

Thank you for recently enrolling your child in Beach Kidz Preschool Beach Programme, we look forward to meeting you all at your first classes. To ensure that all classes are enjoyable and as safe as possible for everyone, we ask caregivers to familiarise themselves with the following guidelines:

• Please ensure you have provided any medical conditions or special needs/requests for either the enrolled child/children and active caregivers taking place within the class on registration prior starting our programme.  Should you need to update this, you can do so by logging into your profile on our website and updating. 
• Please remember that you are responsible for your enrolled child/children at all times.  This includes before, throughout and after their booked class. Therefore, we kindly ask that caregivers remain active throughout the duration of the class to ensure that your child is in sight at all times. Our programme is 1:1 ratio (1:2 when permission has been granted via Beach Kidz Management), so we ask that you have appropriate adult supervision for any other children you have present on the beach during your booked class.  We advise to please not engage within any activity setup of Beach Kidz until invited to by your Head Instructor.   
• Please be aware our classes are strictly attended by registering and booking online.  We are not able to accommodate siblings or friends. To avoid any disappointment for the child we ask anyone interested in attending Beach Kidz, to register and pay online prior to taking place within a class. This policy is operated for insurance purposes and safety reasons.
• On registration, we ask that you register those children under your care only.  Friends and family will need to log in and register their own child/children and complete the registration form and give consent for those children they are responsible for. 
• We try our best to run to the correct timings of our classes. It’s hugely appreciated if you can arrive at least five minutes prior to the start of your class so you can settle into the environment and be ready for action!
• Please leave your fur babies at home... As much as we love dogs, we are mindful that some of our Beach Kidz are very frightened of dogs. With respect to all our families, we would like all children to continue to enjoy their time within their booked classes.  We ask that our families do not bring their dogs to Beach Kidz, but if they do, please keep them on a leash and supervised away from our group. We are also aware that there are laws in place within our beach venue at Papamoa in which no dogs are allowed within 200 meters of the Surf Club.  
• We are more than happy for you to take photos of your child / children during their Beach Kidz class, however we do ask that you respect the other families involved within the session and ask their permission if you are taking a group photo with more than your child in it. Some of our families have requested not to have any photo's taken of their children, so we would like to ensure their request is being fulfilled.  When taking photos of your child please remember the safety of your child must come first along with ensuring you are not interrupting or distracting their concentration. Please time the moments you are taking your photo's, and please...don't drop your phone in the water!
